Neighborhood Marketing

This is a concept that has been around for a while, and it is highly effective. You go to businesses such as restaurants, gas stations, and pizza shops that are in the area where your target audience frequents and ask whether you can place your business cards and/or brochures in their business. I often place mine in doctors’ offices, plastic surgeons’ offices, and spas because they are looking for the same audience that I am looking for. You might offer to go in with one of these businesses and hold a design workshop or do a joint promotion or mailing. Neighborhood marketing is about working with other complementary businesses in your community and getting your name out to their customers.
